Monmouth University Transfer Science Scholarship in the USA for 2022/2023
All New Jersey community college students who earn an AA, AS, or AAS degree are eligible for the $3,500 Transfer Science Scholarship. It is necessary for students to:
- Have a total GPA of at least 3.25 at the community college
- Enroll as a full-time student in a Monmouth School of Science major
There is no separate application procedure for the Transfer Science Scholarship, and the Office of Undergraduate Admission will automatically examine every applicant. If the student is pursuing a degree in a School of Science major, is enrolled full-time (12 credits or more), and has a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, they are eligible to renew this grant each year.

About the University
Monmouth University is a private institution located in West Long Branch, New Jersey. Monmouth Junior College, which was established in 1933 and received its charter the same year, changed its name to Monmouth College in 1956, then to Monmouth University in 1995.
There are 260 part-time undergraduate students, 260 part-time faculty members, 4,400 full-time undergraduate students, 1,750 graduate students, and 302 full-time faculty members. About 80% of the faculty members hold Ph. D.s or other terminal degrees in their particular fields of study. The university has an around 14:1 student to faculty ratio. In 44% of situations, students live on campus. The bulk of Monmouth’s student body is from the Northeastern United States, even though there are students there from 28 other nations and 29 other states.
In the 2010s, Monmouth University moved up the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Ranking among regional institutions in the Northern United States, going from 76 in 2005 to 37 in 2012 and 30 in 2013. “Even though Monmouth didn’t make the Forbes list, I feel that it doesn’t represent the level of its staff or the sort of institution that Monmouth is,” said Blackmon in response to charges that Forbes had downgraded a school’s rating as a result of its offering of financial assistance. We are really happy to be able to support the education of so many young people. It should have succeeded, in my opinion, without a doubt. In 2021, Monmouth University made its first appearance in the rankings, placing 394th.
Benefits of Transfer Science Scholarship
The $3,500 in partial funding was provided through the Transfer Science Scholarship.
Eligibility for Transfer Science Scholarship
- Housing expenses are not covered by the Transfer Science Scholarship; they can only be used for tuition at Monmouth University.
- Students who take part in programs for tuition exchange or remission are not eligible for the award.
- There are no scholarships offered over the summer.
- The Transfer Science Scholarship requires full-time enrollment for each semester (i.e., 12 or more credits).
- Awards can only be used to pay for study abroad expenses when tuition is assessed by Monmouth University.
- Students who participate in off-campus clinical semesters through the Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Medical Technology programs are eligible for a prorated grant.
- Student teachers who are enrolled part-time (less than 12 credits) may be qualified for a prorated reward.
