Department Description: The General Manager is tasked with managing all facets of a high end 2000+ unit, Class A, multi-family property- Thousand Oaks at Austin Ranch or combination of properties. This role will be instrumental in overseeing operations, leasing and maintenance departments so as to provide the best standards to existing and potential tenants.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage resident violations as to community conduct and community policy enforcement
  • Review/memo nightly security reports and take up any outstanding safety questions
  • Have weekly meetings with all employees and security
  • Schedule up to date weekly, monthly, quarterly reports to management team
  • Support residents with issues, concerns or questions pertaining to their unit or the property
  • Manage all leasing operations, resident retention and renewal policy
  • Indoctrination and team building of employees
  • Recruit new employees, direct other Supervisors on daily basis, and implement performance appraisals
  • Make sure you abide by the policies in explanation to the community
  • Cost-cutting, concentrate on increasing revenues, and working out the property budget
  • Payables and receivables Review
  • Prepare readiness board and inform about progress in move in process to Maintenance on weekly basis
  • Revising all prices: Yardi, ALN, Smart Locating, site’s, pricelist and other marketing tools
  • Control Minor cash expenses
  • Supervise day to day accounting of the property
  • Obey all the Fair Housing regulations
  • Approve all lease documents and applicant documents
  • Entry of all renewals and notices
  • Manage property inspections of parking, storage, pet, patio and appliances
  • Support leasing activities, where needed
  • Coordination of monthly appointment of leasing/maintenance personnel
  • Make sure the work orders are accomplished in due time
  • Remain in neighborhood watch information with residents and the local police
  • Keep/ maintain all the facets of the major track and resident keys

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ Years Multifamily managerial experience at a large (500+ units) Multi-Family property in the following capacities: Property Manager, Community Manager, or Operations Manager
  • Skilled with Microsoft office products (Excel, Outlook, Word Etc.)
  • Experience using Yardi an extreme advantage
  • Good accounting knowledge
  • Ability to communicate and customer service skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to develop positive relations with residents and the staff
  • Superb communication (written and spoken)
