Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program, University of Toronto
Brief description:
The Pearson International Scholarship Program is named after Lester B. Pearson (premier of Ontario Province in Canada and also a Nobel Peace Prize laureate) at the University of Toronto. The goal of the program is to encourage international students who have proven academic excellence and creativity and are located in their respective schools. There is a particular focus on what contribution the student has made to the life, and potential future contribution, to the global community.

On an annual basis, about 37 scholars are appointed Lester B. Pearson Scholars.

Scholarship amount/includes/period
The scholarship will be tenable in all faculties with seven years of tuition, books and incidental fees and complete residence support during the duration of 4 year studies.
Eligibility:
To qualify to apply to the Pearson International Scholarship, you must:
an international student (i.e. a non-Canadian who is on a study permit);
are currently in the final year of senior secondary studies in 2024/2025 or have completed the high school no later than June 2024
commencing your undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in September 2025(students who already attend post-secondary studies will not be considered; students who enter post-secondary studies in January 2025 in another university/college will not be considered).

Entry into the Pearson International Scholar Program occurs through nomination by schools and in response to an application to undergraduate study in the University of Toronto. In order to apply you must:
Be nominated by a school. High schools not already contacted/verified are welcomed to apply, and obtain nomination rights, here:
Submit an application to study at University of Toronto by 17 October 2025 so that you can commence in September 2026 . You will be guaranteed a scholarship consideration at U of T on your first choice of a Pearson Scholarship program. You can choose to submit applications to many programs and possibly be admitted in all; however, provided you are awarded the Pearson Scholarship, it would be limited to your first entry of program at U of T as at the time our scholarship decisions are made.
After you get the nomination by the University and after applying to the University, the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship online application will be completed on or before the 7 November 2025. When you are successfully nominated by your school you will be emailed your own personal link to the scholarship application.
Post all papers online and no later than 7 November 2025.
The nomination deadline of the school is 10 October 2025. The deadline to apply to this student admission process is 17 October 2025. The document submission deadline and the scholarship application is 7 November 2025.
