Summary/Objective:
Directs the operation of DCU Financial Insurance Services, LLC including the development of the agency and relationships with DCU members as well as generating profitable growth to the credit union. Being a designated producer of the agency, to supervise the staff, adhere to all the applicable laws. Serves as a member of the management team of DCU in supporting the mission and vision of the credit union.

Mon – Fri: 8 AM – 5 PM (40 Hours)
What YouWill Do
Summary/Objective:
In charge of the management of DCU Financial Insurance Services, LLC, including its growth and relations with DCU members, and providing profitable growth to the credit union. As a designated producer of the agency, accountable to the monitoring of personnel and adherence to all the relevant laws. Serves on the management team of DCU to assist in the pursuit of the credit union mission and vision.
Essential Functions:

- Monitor daily operations of the employees through overseer, guidance and support (where necessary) of the staff. Communicate to staff goals and strategies associated with corporate business strategy. Set individual targets to agency and team on yearly basis.
- Offer performance management to staff through routine feedbacks on performance, good and opportunities improvement. Train and implement trainings with the staff.
- Conduct negotiations with the management to set the yearly budget of DCU Financial Insurance Services, LLC
Supervise the training on all agency systems such as vendor and carrier specific rating, policy inquiry, and vetting new systems or programs. - Introduce and enforce best practices to stimulate the development and effectiveness of the agency
Co-coordinate with marketing department and vendors on developing promotions that will enhance productivity - Responsible to develop transverse departmental relationships to bring awarness and education of insurance services at the credit union
- Developing and optimising a strong Affinity Marketing Programme with our Partnering Institutions
- To ensure that the agency is in compliance with all relevant federal and state laws, including development of policies and procedures to be adhered to by DCU Insurance personnel
- To draft and develop recommended best practices to follow in ensuring compliance to federal and state laws and regulation in respect to selling personal lines insurance
- Oversee the handling of the customer complaints and inquiries
- Perform all federal and state regulatory filings (licensing and reports) in a timely and appropriate manner
- Owns the insurance referral program, including the design and implementation of training, reports to the Branches, InfoCenter, Mortgages and insider referrals.
- Ensure the control of the agency processes, their efficiency and effectiveness.
- Preparation of and revisions to agency process and procedure manual and agency retention table.
- Act as administrator of systems, in collaboration with internal support departments and vendors.
- Edit the collated monthly production reports and reporting requests to management with an eye to ensure accuracy.
- Stay hands on with team members as they develop and offer education and adjustment opportunities to develop.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Managers(s).
Supervisory Responsibility:
Directly involved in the management and day to day running.
What to take with you

- Home & Auto licenses are required
- Property & Casualty, Life, Accident and Health Producer license in all states covered by agency.
- At least 5 to 7 years of management experience within an agency setting, desired.
- A thorough understanding of personal lines insurance products and how and when to use them.
- Knowledge of insurance markets, agency management systems and procedures.
