The Government of Brazil is providing fully funded Brazil Government Scholarships under Postgraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG), which provides tuition fees, monthly stipend, health insurance, and travel fees to the selected candidates.

Details of Brazil Government Scholarship (Postgraduate Student agreement Program (PEC-PG)):
The Government of Brazil Scholarships Postgraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG) is open for application for the year 2026.
The PEC-PG is under the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) (coordinating bodies).
It is an international cooperation program, bringing foreigners to Brazil and stimulating the exchange of knowledge between the partner countries and, on the other hand, benefiting the Brazilian institutions by means of the contact of the students and faculty of the Brazilian institutions with qualified researchers abroad.

Eligibility Criteria for Post Graduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG)
To be eligible for accepting the Postgraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG), you must:
- Be citizens of countries with which the PEC-PG cooperation agreement is established,
- Apply for Full Time Master, Doctorate and Sandwich Doctorate programs in Brazilian HEIs.
- Submit required documents and provide academic qualifications described in the notice of the programme
- Register in accordance with the program rules, the conditions of which are automatically accepted upon registration;
This program is especially suitable for highly talented international students who are studying at a higher degree level and wish to experience cultural and academic exchange.

Duration of scholarships:
- I – Sandwich Doctorate: 6 (six) to 10 (ten) months;
- II – Full Doctorate: two years (24 months) maximum.
- III – Master Degree: up to 24 (twenty-four) months.
How to Apply for Brazil Government Scholarship 2026 (Step by Step).
Interested and qualified candidates to apply for the Brazil Government Scholarship (Postgraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG)) must:
- Visit the Brazilian Government’s website by clicking the green button below and start the application process.
- The candidates can apply as per the open seats from 14 August to 29 September 2025.
- The selection process of Brazilian HEIs will be done in several phases, from September 30 until October 23, 2025.
- The Pro-Rectorate of the HEIs and CAPES will perform the final approval and document analysis of the selections after the deadline for the choice of the candidates, on November 13, 2025.
- Demonstrates the results will be released on November 14, 2025, and the recipients should start their studies in Brazil in the first half of 2026.
