23-year-old son of Bill Gates, Rory Gates graduates from University of Chicago

Bill Gates’ 23-year-old son Rory Gates graduated from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor’s in Creative Writing and a Masters in Computer Science and a second major in English.

First Son and Second of Three Children of Bill and Melinda French Gates, Rory Gates was previously reported by many to have received his MBA in Computer Science and Economics from Duke University.

However, RSS’s older sister, Jennifer Gates, made the success of her brother Rory public by saying that he got a double major and Master’s degree in 4 years. Rory had Law courses as part of his majors. “Jennifer wrote a post in June 2022 in which she wrote of Rory’s graduation: “Celebrating Rory’s graduation from the University of Chicago this weekend.”

The three siblings ecstatic about seeing Rory graduate from the University of Chicago sat for a picture with Rory holding his certificate that showed Rory had earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago. “So proud” is what Jennifer added.

Rory’s mother, Melinda French Gates has described her son as a smart individual.

“He is smart, well-educated and incredibly knowledgeable on the many topics he is interested in. He’s a great son and he’s a great brother. He has inherited his parents’ obsessive love for puzzles. However, when it comes to one of her son’s proudest moments, Melinda French Gates says that Rory is a feminist.

Rory’s younger sister Phoebe is 20 and is currently at Stanford University and will graduate in 2025.
